Banana Split Dessert |

| This is a great summertime (or anytime) dessert. Made in a 9x13 pan, you can make the servings as big or little as you like. Just be aware of elves who come snitching when you're not looking! |

1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
4-6 T melted butter
4 bananas
1 gal. vanilla ice cream
1 c. chopped peanuts
1 c. choc. chips
1/2 c. butter
2 c. XX sugar
1 1/2 c. condensed milk
Cool Whip
maraschino cherries with stems

| directions:
| Cover the bottom of a 9x13 pan with the graham cracker mixture. You do not have to bake. Slice and place the bananas over the crust. Top with the ice cream that has been sliced into 3/4 in. slices and smoothed out.
Sprinkle with the chopped nuts.
Melt the choc., chips with the butter. Add the XX sugar and condensed milk. Cook till smooth and thick. Remove from heat and add 1t. vanilla. Cool and pour over ice cream Freeze till firm and top with Cool Whip. When serving, top each piece with a stemmed cherry. Yummy! |
