| Knowing I would become a pastor's wife, my mother gave me this recipe as a young girl that would allow me to be able to whip up a warm, yummy dessert for unexpected company. I always keep the ingredients on hand. |

1 (29 oz.) can of sliced peaches
1 yellow cake mix (Butter Brickle tastes great also, but is hard to find.)
2 sticks of butter or margarine
2/3 c. of oatmeal
1/3 c. of brown sugar

Pour the can of peaches (juice and all) into a 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle DRY cake mix over top. Cut up two sticks of butter/margarine and cover (like a checkerboard.) Grab a handful of oatmeal and a handful of brown sugar and sprinkle on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes and serve warm with ice cream.
