Happy New Year!
Thank you for your support in 2009 by shopping at Little House.
A loyal customer once told me "What a nice shop. It makes you feel like you can afford to shop here." It's comments like this that let me know I am doing what I set out to do in my shop. I always wanted to give my customers unique affordable home decor and gifts for all occasions.
I am leaving for the gift show this week. I can't wait to see what new and exciting products are waiting for me.

December 2009 News:
Take time to enjoy the season and let Little House help you get ready for the holidays. We will make it more fun than shopping at the mall with free gift wrapping, friendly staff, and parking at the door. And don't worry, the parking is free all day, just ask for your parking pass in the store. We'll even have the warm cider on just for you.
Stop by to see our entry in the Gel Gem Window Contest. We were invited by the company to participate in this year's contest. The theme is "Celebrate the Season". For those who do not know what Gel Gems are, they are colorful gel shapes that adhere to glass.
When the box came we were very surprized to open it and find the 48 packages of Gel Gems to use for the contest. They were giant purple flowers, bugs, shamrocks, angels, skyscrapers, small flowers, and strips of colors. What was this??? After reviewing last year's winners we were pleased to learn the shapes were not the important part, it was the colors. No red or white for Santa or snowmen!!! What were we to do?
It was a group decision to do a large stained glass window with a large purple glowing candle. It's all done and the photo of our creation is entered. The deadline is December 5th. I'm not sure how many entries get to the voting stage, but you can watch their news http://www.gelgems.com/News/ (currently shows last year's winner) and even join their Gel manic club to find out soon via email how you can vote. You can see our design at my photo gallery.
